Security at LectureLegacy

Last Updated: April 1, 2026

The security of your study data and personal information is our top priority. We use best-in-class technologies and practices to keep your data safe and private.

1. Infrastructure Security

LectureLegacy is built on **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** and uses **Firebase** for backend management. This means we leverage Google's world-class infrastructure and its robust security compliance certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2, and others).

2. Data Encryption

All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest:

  • In Transit: We use industry-standard HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher) to protect data sent between your browser and our servers.
  • At Rest: All database content and user files are encrypted using advanced encryption standards (AES-256).

3. Authentication and Access Control

We use **Firebase Authentication** to manage user accounts. We support secure Google Sign-In and standard email/password authentication with secure hashing. We also implement Firestore Security Rules to ensure that your study materials can only be accessed by you.

4. Payment Security

We do not store your credit card information on our servers. All payments are handled by **Lemon Squeezy**, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant, the highest level of security standard for payment processing.

5. AI Data Safety

When you generate study packs, your raw data is processed through secure, modern AI models. Our agreements with AI providers ensure that your data is not used for training their public foundation models.

6. Contact Security Team
